• Nitrile Rubber (NBR)
- Working Temperature Range: -40° C to+ 125° C
- Standard Color: Black
- Application: For low temperature at rotary shaft or reciprocating shaft.
- It has excellent resistance to GREASE, MUDDY WATER, HYDRAULIC OIL, ENGINE OIL, GEAR OIL while it does not offer such resistance against SYNTHETIC LUBRICANT OIL.
• POLYACRYLIC RUBBER
- Working Temperature Range: -30° C to + 150° C
- Standard Color: Black
- Application: For medium temperature at rotary shaft.
- It offers better heat and oil resistance than nitrile rubber. It has excellent resistance to lubricant oil and poor resistance to gear oil or acids.
• Silicone Rubber
- Working Temperature Range: -60° C to+ 200° C
- Standard Color: Dark Red
- Application: For high temperature at rotary shafts.
- It has better heat or oil resistance than polyacrylic rubber and offers excellent resistance to ENGINE OIL and has poor resistance to GEAR OIL & FUEL OILS.
• VITON/FLUOROELASTOMER
- Working Temperature Range: -30° C to + 230° C
- Standard Color: Brown
- Viton rubber can be used in harsh environments as it exhibits high chemical resistance. Viton has excellent resistance to steam , mineral oils , fuel oil & lubricating.
• PTFE/ GLASS FILLED PTFE
- Working Temperature Range: -175° C+ 250° C
- Standard Color: Off-White
- PTFE seals are used for special applications which require chemical inertness. PTFE offers excellent resistance to high temperature water, fuel oil & various chemicals.
The choice of material for oil seal depends upon its application and customer needs.
